Parliament passed a law to combat raiding

In its second reading, the Verkhovna Rada passed Law No. 1056-1, which amends certain acts on the protection of property rights.

The bill provides for:

- Prohibition on the activities of accredited state registrars. The authors of the document indicate that most of them participated in "suspicious or overtly criminal registration activity."

- Introduction of mandatory notarization of corporate rights alienation agreements. Without it, "it is practically impossible to stop the circulation of forged documents on property," the bill says.

- Implementation of the principle of simultaneous notarial deed and state registration of rights.

- Increase accountability for breach of registration procedures.

- Implementation of the principle of simultaneous notarial deed and state registration of rights.

The authors of the bill emphasize that the document will reduce the number of raider seizures of real estate and corporate rights, as well as allow citizens and businesses to reduce the costs of protection against unlawful encroachment.
